Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of left-back Sam Oguntayo.

The 23-year-old emerged as a youngster at Kingstonian before being snapped up by Charlton Athletic 2021, featuring regularly for the Addicks’ U21s while embarking on a loan spell with Eastbourne Borough.

Following his departure from The Valley in 2023, Oguntayo represented Hanwell Town and Lewes, before joining Chelmsford City for the 2024/25 season, making 42 league appearances for the Clarets.

Last summer saw him make the move to Maidstone United with the defender playing nine times in the National League South this term, prior to his release in December, and now joins the Wings to bolster Ryan Maxwell’s defensive options.
