Welling United can confirm the arrival of a further two new signings as James Dunne and Medy Elito join from Southend United and Wealdstone respectively.
Dunne, 32, is a midfielder who came through the youth ranks at Arsenal, before moving on to Exeter City where he played more than 100 games in the early 2010’s. Two seasons at Stevenage followed, with spells at Portsmouth, Cambridge, Swindon Town and Barnet also under his belt before he spent 2021/22 at Roots Hall.
Elito, also 32, is a midfielder who was born in Zaire and worked his way through the teenage levels at Colchester United. He eventually made 19 appearances for the Essex side before spending three years at Dagenham and Redbridge. A move to the Netherlands with VVV-Venlo for a year came next but he returned to the English leagues at the end of 2014/15, signing for Newport County. Two years at Cambridge United and then Barnet followed before playing for Vanarama National League outfit, Wealdstone in 2021/22.
